Single crystal Copper&Silver, used for the audio connector is quite a great breakthrough in the video wire manufacturing. The scientific experiments have proved that Single crystal Copper&Silver is a kind of high pure oxygen-free copper, made up of one crystal grain without interface that can refract and reflect signals making them anamorphic and weak between grains, therefore it is of high conducting ability. Comparing to Single crystal Copper&Silver, there are a great amount of grains in the oxygen-free copper (OFC for short) that is used for the audio connector widely nowadays and in which the interface distorts and weakens the signals. |
| So the OFC is not as good as OCC which has the quality of high purity, low resistance, super ductibility, high rate of extending and precision of structure. | |

O.C.C is the conductor technology developed by Professor Ohno of Chiba Institute of Technology in Japan. It is a high temperature continuous casting process. This process is performed with special heat procedure, so the single crystal copper can be obtained. Every single crystal can be extended several meters so there is only one crystal within the actual length for usage. That is to say there is no interface with that length. In the process of transmitting signals, without interface between grains it is much easier for signals to penetrate through and transmit. For its quite low wastage, OCC is considered to be excellent conducting material. |
